In May, a monumental event filled with excitement and creativity, Design Engage Fest, took place, providing students with an incredible platform to explore their artistic abilities and engage in fun-filled activities. The event spanned two action-packed days, including a series of workshops and exciting events.
The first day began with lots of hands-on workshops aimed at developing artistic flair. The Pottery Workshop allows students to Mold and shape clay into beautiful artifacts, giving them the opportunity to experience the art of pottery first-hand. At the same time, the paper tube workshop brings an eco-friendly touch, encouraging participants to turn ordinary cardboard tubes into creative works of art, sparking their imagination. For those who like to experiment with different materials, the resin workshop was a hit. Students explore the fascinating world of epoxy resin, making beautiful art and making the memories to cherish the workshops not only sharpen their creative skills but also foster an environment of collaboration and learning.
To add adventure to the mix, a scavenger hunt had participants excited to solve clues and puzzles, leading them to hidden gems on campus. In addition, the box cricket event created a healthy sporting game as the teams competed it out, showcasing their cricket prowess in a compact and energetic format. On Day 2, the festival broadened its horizons by inviting esteemed speakers to share their insights. An engaging lecture on the National Aptitude Test for Architects (NATA) has proven to be extremely helpful for aspiring architects, providing valuable tips for passing exams and pursue a career in architecture.
In the spirit of fostering campus friendships, students from neighbouring universities participated in the festival on Day 2. The highly anticipated sport of tug of war drew enthusiastic participants, demonstrates the strength of teamwork and determination. This not only encourages friendly competition but also creates lasting bonds among students from diverse backgrounds. Design Engage Fest proved to be a resounding success, leaving attendees feeling fulfilled and inspired. Workshops allow students to explore their creative side, while events foster camaraderie and friendly competition. Ultimately, the festival celebrated the importance of art, cooperation and healthy competition, instilling in young minds a passion for creativity that will continue to blossom in their future endeavours.
